Price list Rooms & Suites
- Tourist tax: The indicated prices do not include the tourist tax (from 14 years of age on), which has to be paid on site.
- Children sharing their parents‘ room get the following discounts: 0-2 years: free of charge; 2-6 years: 50%; 6-12 years: 30%.
- For a short-stay on weekends and bank holidays a supplement per person and day will be charged.
Price list Apartments
- Tourist tax: The indicated prices do not include the tourist tax (from 14 years of age on), which has to be paid on site.
- Additional occupancy: The prices are for 2 people. For each additional person we charge a daily surcharge of € 20,00.
- For a short-stay on weekends and bank holidays a supplement per person and day will be charged.
Good to know from A to Z
- Check-in/Check-out: On the day of arrival your room will be available from 3 p.m. On the day of departure we ask you to leave your room by 10 a.m.
- Cancellation policy: For cancellations up to 31 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, we will not charge any extra cancellation fees. In case of cancellation within 30 to 15 days before the scheduled arrival date, we will charge a fee of 40% of the total amount booked. In case of cancellation within 14 to 8 days before the scheduled arrival date, we will charge a fee of 60% of the total amount booked. In case of cancellation within 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, we will charge a fee of 70% of the total amount booked. In case of early departure, late arrival or no-show, we will charge a cancellation fee of 70% for the booked, unenjoyed days.
- Deposit: At the time of booking we ask for a deposit of 30% of the total amount.
- Holidaypass: On your arrival at our hotel you will get the Holidaypass, a 7-day card that allows you to use all means of public transport throughout South Tyrol free of charge.
- Means of payment: You can pay your hotel bill in cash, by EC card or by credit card.
- Parking: You can park your car free of charge in the guest car parking right next to the hotel.
- Pets: Your pets are welcome! For your four-legged friend we charge a daily suppement of 20€ (without food). Your dog is not allowed to enter the dining room, the swimming pools and the wellness area - thank you for your understanding.
- Smokers: According to Italian law, smoking is forbidden in our hotel and therefore also in our rooms, suites & apartments. You can smoke on the balcony, on the terrace and in the hotel garden.
- Wellness area: Our swimming pool is open every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the sauna is open daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Clean bathrobes are available for a small fee.
- WiFi: We provide free guest WiFi access in the whole hotel.

How to reach us
BY CAR & MOTORCYCLE
From the north/south/west: Leave the Brennero motorway (A22) at the exit Bressanone/Brixen, follow the state road “Val Pusteria“ until you reach Chienes/Kiens (ca. 20 km). Once in Chienes/Kiens, turn left and drive up the Via Paese/Kiener Dorfweg (ca. 400 m) until you reach the village church. Here you will find the Hotel Gassenwirt. You can park right at the hotel.
From the east: Drive via Lienz – San Candido/Innichen – Brunico/Bruneck to Chienes/Kiens. Once in Chienes/Kiens, turn right and drive up the Via Paese/Kiener Dorfweg (ca. 400 m) until you reach the village church. Here you will find the Hotel Gassenwirt. You can park right at the hotel.
BY BIKE
An alternative journey for sports and bike enthusiasts: Arriving from west or east, follow the Val Pusteria Cycle Path to Chienes/Kiens. Once arrived, cross the Rienza river over the bridge and continue straight on to the village church. Here you will find the Hotel Gassenwirt.
BY TRAIN/PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Reach the Fortezza station by train. Now get on the Val Pusteria train (Pustertaler Bahn) towards Brunico/Bruneck and travel to the Castaldarne/Ehrenburg train station (ca. 1 km from the Hotel Gassenwirt).
